If you are into drama and sports, Soul Surfer is the movie for you. Itś a 2011 film based on a true story about a girl’s surfing career being interrupted by a horrific shark attack as it takes almost her entire arm. If you are scared of blood, this isn’t the movie for you. Bethany Hamilton has to go through the roughest time of her life learning how to live her daily life without one arm. It takes her awhile to get the hang of it, but eventually everything clicks and she tries to begin surfing again. At first she has a lot of trouble but then she starts winning competitions again… with only one arm! If you are into inspiring movies this is also the movie for you because Bethany never gives up. The overall rating is a ⅘ which is great for this type of movie. I would recommend this movie to girl preteens/ teens because the story is based on the teenager, Bethany Hamilton.
