Our Northwest Varsity Football team held off Paint Branch High School in a tight game in Silver Spring on Friday night.

It was a rough start for the Jags.  They trailed six to three at the end of the first quarter.  A nice run from senior Ajahni Terry allowed Northwest to take the lead in the second and never look back.  It was 10 to six at the half and the Jaguars started to pull away in the third.  Terry connects with fellow senior Ryan Beach to bring the lead to 11.  Paint Branch made things interesting in the fourth quarter, but quarterback Jordan Morse hit Isiah Williams for a nice touchdown and that sealed the deal.  Final score, Jags 24, Paint Branch 12.

Next Friday, September 20th, the Jags are at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.  That game starts at 6:30pm.
