Take Advantage of the New Media Center Extended Hours

Samia Nadeem, Editor-In-Chief

You now have access to all the resources the northwest media center has to offer, well past dinner time. The team has begun Extended Hours. Every Wednesday from 2:30PM to 8:00PM, students have the opportunity to work and study independently, and utilize media center resources like ChromeBooks, printers, books and magazines. Students are able to reserve a space and meet with study groups / partners.

Many students are looking forward to utilizing the extra time. When asked about what she thinks students can get out of Extended Hours, tenth-grader Hannah Nguyen says, “Students can probably have more time to study…The problem with a lot of people is that they don’t have enough time to actually sit down; they procrastinate and do other stuff. So people can hopefully do better on their academics and work ethic.” A great deal of students find themselves procrastinating on their schoolwork, making Extended Hours a great opportunity for them to complete everything before going home.

If you find yourself needing extra time to complete projects, work on homework, or study with friends, stop by the media center every Wednesday for Extended Hours!
