Second Semester Seniors: Does it change people?

Second Semester Seniors: Does it change people?

Michael Yuille

We’ve all heard about it as high schoolers, senioritis. But second semester kicks in a new type of senioritis. Seniors finding new ways to become different people and losing interest in the important things in life like school. When the second semester hits it seems as though all seniors stop their efforts and want to make the most of every social minute they have.

“ I have always been a hard working student but since it’s my last chance to do anything fun with my high school friends I want to be able to blow off some steam with them” Sam Sekscienski says about her senior year.

People have chosen different routes though. Emmy Abdullah being a perspective athlete in college has become a more determined individual.

“ I want to prove myself to the coaches that I am a good student and hard worker” Emmy says

It’s obvious that people go in different directions but it is a heavy trend of less effort and more fun. Senioritis is real and growing at a fast rate especially with a heavy dose of second semester.
