The Women’s March

You might have heard lately about enormous protests in places like Dulles Airport, D.C, and other major coastal cities. One of the most popular (and latest) protests was the Women’s March in D.C. The Women’s March was a worldwide protest. It was demonstrated in many countries and states. The Women’s March was a series of protests to promote women’s rights, immigration laws, and to discredit the new president’s view in other such political matters.

Over 500K people participated in the march and it was an enormous success. The protest stayed peaceful and no violence ensued.

People made posters depicting images that portrayed what they were protesting and phrases such as “Women’s rights are human rights” and “The future is female”.  Many famous faces appeared in the crowd, and some even gave speeches and performed during the March.

These are almost all the places that participated in the Women’s March.
