African Student Association: On a Mission

The A.S.A mission is to spread and advocate different african culture by exemplifying through it through any way we can. Also they hope to help impoverished brother and sisters in Africa. The first meeting was on October 26, 2016. The meeting had jollof rice and drinks. It was interest meeting to get information about the new club. Anybody from any races can join the club.  Everybody originated in the beautiful motherland of africa so in some way, shape, or form everyone is african.  There are many events that club will host. The club have an african dance. They will perform pep rallies, showcase, TBA. The practices are going to be held on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. They are going to dance East, West, and south African dances. Also, They will be featuring fashion design from Prodige Clothing . They are going to teach you how to walk in heels and be comfortable. African clothes are very unique. The club is sponsoring a school in Eastern Region, Ghana Anum Kindergarten School. They have 136 kids in the school. They have 2 teacher and 2 assistants. The goal is to donate $ 1-2 a per month to the school. The club was has opportunities for excellence. They want everyone to be successful. They want everyone to focus on their grades and try to get honor roll. The A.S.A is about unity and power within african american student in our school. They want more african american student to be more involved in the school.
