At the school there is a club known as 4SW. 4SW (the Secret Society of Science Songwriters), has gotten very busy and very popular over the past couple years. From performances at Montgomery College to Capitol Hill, 4SW has started receiving recognition from multiple sources, including the Climate Change competition own a couple years back. The newest addition to a long list of accomplishments and honors, is the collaboration songs and videos with the science labs at UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) over the 2016 summer. Over the span of three days 4SW met with four different science laboratories at the college. The focuses were Art Preservation, HIV research, Probes, and Quantum Dots. The professors and students working in each lab would give information on the work being done, and a track of premade music was chosen. Then, lyrics containing the information were written to go with the music. The songs were recorded, the videos were made, and then the videos were posted on YouTube, as well as the UMBC website. Going into the 2016-2017 school year, a few more groups have asked 4SW to collaborate with them on certain areas. The YouTube channel is TheFourSW (4SW) if you want to check out the videos.
