The witty sitcom ‘Friends,’ is enjoyed by many in 2017 even though the show started playing in 1994 and stopped being produced in 2004. It is about a group of six friends, three guys and three girls that live out their mid to late 20’s and early to mid 30’s in New York City. The show brings you through the group growing up and becoming mature adults from the childish young adults they were. There are ten seasons to the show and it was filmed at Warner Brothers studios and with a live audience.

 

The main 6 actors in the show are Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. Friends is one of the most popular television shows of all time.

 

The characters’ names are Monica, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe. Monica and Ross are brother and sister. Monica and Rachel went to highschool together, and Chandler and Ross went to college together. Joey and Chandler are roommates for a majority of the show.

 

The show is very entertaining and uses witty comments and jokes to make the audience laugh along with the characters. The show makes the audience feel like they are a part of the characters’ lives and as if the plot and storyline are real.

 

‘Friends,’ also does a very effective job at bringing real life problems and providing viewers with realistic solutions to them. The issues the group goes through, such as career problems, relationship problems, and family problems become very relatable and real and help a lot of viewers get through their own problems.

 

As the show goes on, Rachel and Ross have an on and off relationship and finally get together by the end of season 10. Their relationship is very near and dear to viewer’s hearts because the way they fight and the ups and downs they go through are relatable problems that a lot of people go through.

 

The show emphasizes how your friends really become your family when you are single, living in the city, and able to do anything you want. The group of friends celebrate all holidays together and really make the viewers feel as if family can be found anywhere- which it can. Viewers always feel at home while watching this show and that is why it is so adored even after all these years of not being produced.
