Background: A dead angel. A silver bullet. A kept promise. For ages, the war between Heaven and Hell rages in the unseen corners of society, both sides in delicate balance that could topple if the right weapons were in the wrong hands…When an undercover angel is murdered, Johnny Blaze the Ghost Rider must find the killers and punish them… but this time he won’t do it alone: HELLSTORM! SATANA! BLADE! They are the SPIRITS OF VENGEANCE!

Review: This book does its job setting up a comic that makes a very interesting story, the way it brings the first two members of the team: Hellstrom and Ghost Rider is very exciting and it definitely starts with a bang! The chemistry and dynamic between Hellstrom and Ghost Rider is very interesting and something that needs to be explored more. This team very much seems like a supernatural version of the Defenders and it really does take pride in this which it should, given the team roster. This first issue plays out very much like your typical cop drama procedural but with magic. The art is very standard but I understand because it’s the first issue of a series and it doesn’t want to dry people away so I’ll give it until the first arc ends for this art to last and hopefully it gets into some more trippy, dark, abstract art. The side characters however kinda seem more interesting than the main roster but I do appreciate how they left the villain shrouded in mystery and didn’t give everything away. This has a great premise but the only thing is that the art doesn’t match and the ending really satisfied me, being the Blade fan I am. I’d give this a solid 8.5/10. I can’t wait for the next issue.
